1st. DAKAR WITH A PIONEERING CONCEPT IN SPAIN
After doing 7 Dakars with most common systems, Albert Bosch will be the first Spanish driver to make this test with a SOLO buggy car.
This means daring to face without a car co-pilot and only two-wheel drive, the extreme hardness of the race. Forward traction on the rear wheels and Alone, is really very difficult specially off road, in the dunes and through the 'fesh-fesh', but it's just a major challenge that only two riders have managed to overcome in 34 years history of the Dakar.
Albert wants to use both his experience driving alone in the desert from their participation in the Dakar by Motor Bike, and steering capabilities drive for 5 editions, and learning a lot from all kinds of extreme situations both in the draft of the '7 Summits ', as in other extreme adventures in which it participates regularly.
It will be really a complicated project to be tackled by any race car driver used only to driving powerful cars, and always attended by a copilot, or not having a good physical condition or experience in solo driving.
The category "Buggy Light", designed for light vehicles and two-wheel drive for single pilots, was officially launched at the Dakar 2009, but for many issues there have been different pilots who have proposed this challenge, although only two occasions, some of these experiments have reached the goal.
